FULL-STACK WEB DEVELOPMENT INTERN POSITION: We are seeking a candidate with a unique blend of technical skill and creativity to thrive in our fast-paced environment. Rather than working on a single website, our Full-Stack Web Development Intern works across multiple live products spanning several of our business lines — including residential leasing, entertainment and events, and tourism — as well as internal tools and a new application we are actively developing. You'll design, build, and modify real, production websites used by real customers every day. FULL-STACK WEB DEVELOPMENT INTERN — RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and modify responsive front-end features and pages as specified by the design team Design and implement APIs, and integrate third-party services (payments, booking, email marketing, and more) across our products Develop and maintain dynamic, interactive web applications across the full stack Update and ship requested changes to live sites, including pages, content, and images Test, debug, and continuously improve the design, performance, and functionality of our sites Write clear documentation for the features and systems you build Collaborate with designers and owners to turn ideas into working products Help maintain quality and consistency across all our web properties Build and integrate AI-powered features using large language model APIs (e.g. retrieval-augmented generation / RAG, smart search, automation) FULL-STACK WEB DEVELOPMENT INTERN — QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: Must currently reside in the Columbia, Missouri area — this position is onsite. Working knowledge of JavaScript/React, Python/FastAPI, and SQL Experience using Git Hands-on experience building dynamic, interactive web applications Ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented code with a focus on quality and maintainability Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze unfamiliar code and find practical, innovative solutions independently Comfortable taking a feature or project from requirements through to delivery, with clear specifications and documentation Experience with (or eagerness to learn) AWS products such as EC2 and RDS Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) for automated testing and deployment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with both technical and non-technical teammates and contribute to the team's growth Preferred: exposure to AI/LLM tools and APIs (e.g. the Claude or OpenAI APIs, RAG, vector databases) Authorized to work in the U.S.
