As a Tax Analyst – Trust, Estate & Gift (1041, 706, 709), you will prepare and analyze fiduciary, gift and estate tax returns as well as select individual income tax returns. You will participate in client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications for the client. Learn more about what it’s like working at Schneider Downs here: https://tinyurl.com/52t4kshw WHAT YOU’LL DO Compliance and Review • Prepare and, in some cases, review fiduciary income tax returns, gift tax returns, estate tax returns, and select individual income tax returns • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and working knowledge of tax and workflow software Advisory Services • Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues and tax implications • Begin to gain an understanding of wealth planning advice in order to help clients make informed, strategic decisions relevant to their tax and estate planning needs • Stay informed of current and proposed tax legislation, communicating potential impacts to clients and assist with planning Operational Excellence • Learn and utilize firm processes, technology and software • Ensure firm technology is being applied where appropriate Firm Advancement • Work as a team on internal initiatives that promote firm growth, culture, technical tax content development and technological advances WHAT YOU’LL NEED • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, J.D., LL.M or Masters in Taxation • Desire to become an expert in the preparation of fiduciary, gift, estate and individual income tax returns. • Desire to build relationships, internally and externally, to advance career • Excellent writing, communication and tax research skills • Desire to embrace and leverage technology WHERE CULTURE COUNTS At Schneider Downs, our culture is our identity.
