About the Role We're looking for a Senior Product Owner to sit at the center of DriveWealth's capital markets ecosystem, translating complex workflows and business problems into scalable, build-ready product solutions. In this role, you will lead high-impact initiatives across the platform, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and external industry participants. You will develop a deep understanding of end-to-end workflows, define product and functional solutions, and drive execution across multiple systems, asset classes, and partner models. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong capital markets or wealth domain expertise, analytical thinking, technical fluency, and product execution. You should be comfortable moving between business workflows, data analysis, APIs and system interactions, detailed requirements, and conversations with engineers and operational stakeholders. You'll thrive in this role if you bring: Deep U.S. capital markets and trade processing experience, with the ability to apply it hands-on across workflows, data, APIs, and functional solution design A coachable attitude and a learning mindset, with comfort handling changing priorities Leadership and ownership in running development teams and driving work through to delivery Strong communication and follow-up skills What You'll Do Own product solutions: take complex trade processing problems from discovery and analysis through solution design, requirements, delivery, and production readiness Translate business needs: convert business and product objectives into detailed functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data definitions Analyze end-to-end workflows: understand upstream and downstream impacts across trading, transaction processing, positions, cash, settlement, transfers, and operational workflows Perform data analysis: use data and SQL to investigate workflows, validate processing logic, analyze exceptions, and support product decisions Design integrations: partner with Engineering on APIs, events, data models, system interfaces, and service interactions Manage the backlog: own and prioritize product backlog items and lead refinement sessions to ensure requirements are understood, technically feasible, and ready for development Solve complex problems: investigate production and processing issues, identify root causes, and develop scalable solutions rather than tactical fixes Drive stakeholder alignment: present solution designs and trade-offs and drive decisions across Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and other stakeholders Partner externally: work with brokers, clearing firms, custodians, vendors, and other market participants to design and deliver integrated capabilities You Bring 4+ years of experience in capital markets, brokerage, wealth management, or fintech, with significant exposure to U.S. markets Strong hands-on knowledge of back-office transaction processing Experience working with back-office platforms Experience within a fintech, broker-dealer, bank, clearing firm, custodian, or capital-markets technology provider Experience working across multiple functional areas such as trading, middle office, back office, operations, settlement, cash, positions, or data Demonstrated ability to understand complex end-to-end workflows spanning multiple systems and translate them into clear product and functional designs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate complex transaction scenarios and identify root causes Experience designing or working with REST APIs, event-driven integrations, data models, and service-based architectures Working knowledge of SQL or equivalent database-querying tools for analysis, reconciliation, and issue investigation Strong written communication skills with demonstrated ability to produce precise, build-ready functional documentation Ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and other business teams Comfort operating in ambiguous, multi-system, and multi-partner environments Experience working with industry participants such as broker-dealers, clearing firms, custodians, banks, or financial technology vendors Special Knowledge (Nice to Have, But Not Required) Account and securities transfers Clearing and settlement Positions and balances Reconciliations Corporate actions Cost basis / tax lots Equities and options processing DTC / NSCC / DTCC workflows Custodian or clearing-broker integrations U.S. equity market processing, fixed income, and auctions experience Familiarity with CAT (Consolidated Audit Trail) Location This role is open to candidates in the following locations: Chicago, IL This role is expected to come into the office on a cadence set by the Hiring Manager/Team.
